Brookville-Timberlake Volunteer Fire Department was founded on July 12, 1960, to provide emergency fire protection to the northwestern part of Campbell County. Prior to the formation of our department, fire protection to the area was provided primarily by the City of Lynchburg Fire Department.

Currently our first due response area is approximately ten square miles with a growing population of about 35000 people. We also provide second due response and mutual aid to other fire agencies within Campbell County as well as Bedford County, the City of Lynchburg, and the Lynchburg Regional Airport.

  • The Brookville-Timberlake Fire Department family is appreciative of the outpouring of support by the community and fire services during the loss of Firefighter Zane Robertson. We are accepting donations to aid with medical expenses or toward educational funds for the Robertson boys. Please note how you would like your donation dedicated in the memo line of your check. Donations will be accepted at Leesville Landscape Supplies at 2291 Waterlick Road between 730am-530pm Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm Saturday, and 10am-2pm Sunday or mail to Brookville-Timberlake Volunteer Fire Department, 3640 Waterlick Road Forest, VA 24551.

  • We have stickers made in memory of Zippy. We have 2x2s for helmets for $5 each and 5x5s for vehicles for $10 each. A big thank you to Greg at Outtasight for donating the stickers to us!!
