Currently our first due response area is approximately ten square miles with a growing population of about 35000 people. We also provide second due response and mutual aid  to other fire agencies within Campbell County as well as Bedford County, the City of Lynchburg, and the Lynchburg Regional Airport.

   The department has grown over the years to forty two active members who are dedicated to providing the best emergency services available to our citizens. Most of our members hold Firefighter I or Firefighter II certifications, as well as certifications as Emergency Medical Technicians. Training is ongoing and our members qualifications cover a number of areas in the fire service. Fire suppression, rescue, vehicle extrication, and hazardous materials operations are just a few of the capabilities our department is trained and equipped to handle. In 2005 the department established a non-transport First Responder program to provide a quick response to life threatening medical emergencies.
